Default SC400 rear speaker replacement

I replaced the dead rear 4" speakers in my 95SC400 with 4" Infinity Reference 4012i

They fit perfectly in the speaker enclosure and I only had to change the size of one of the input connectors to match the ones on the speaker for a perfect connection.

I think they sound great, but then again I my rears were dead

Hope this helps someone.

Cool, any pics of the switch out? How hard was changing the connector? I need to redo the fronts and back in my 97 sc.

Sorry, no pix.

It was pretty easy, took out the rear seat and the back side panels ( top and bottom) search for the thread..someone has posted pix

this may help https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...+rear+speakers

When I bought the speakers I had the kid give me couple of wiring leads that would fit, when I got home I just cut off the one wiring lead from the speaker enclosure that was too big and spliced the new one on....easier than it sounds

Doesn't sound too bad. Thanks for the explanation. I'm going to try my hand at new fronts and backs when it cools down a bit.
