Kicker 10" Comp Subwoofer Question

I'm thinking about replacing my factory subwoofer with the Kicker 10" Comp Subwoofer and wanted to know if this will be a clean replacement with no mods to the factory housing. I also would like to know if I can use the factory amp? I have a 98 GS with the Nak system

I have a '99 GS4 w/Nak system. I replaced my 10" with a Kicker Comp, and it sounded pretty decent, but I could stand for some more in the bottom end, so I added a mono sub amp and upgraded to a twelve inch dual voice coil sub so I could run my amp at 2 ohms. Sounds much better now. It depens on how much bass you want. When I removed my factory sub, I found it easier to make a baffle board for the sub and mount it from the bottom of the rear deck in the trunk instead of dropping a new sub from the inside. If something goes wrong with the sub, you can just unscrew it from the bottom and fix the problem as opposed to removing the back seat, the moldings, rear deck panels and everything else! You may want to dynamat the rear deck panel as well to stop any resonance you might get from the metal rear deck when the bass really hits hard.
