i have a 93 SC300 and i am looking to redo the entire system. i dont know much about car audio. i would like to know about the quality of car audio equipment (subs, amps, speakers, etc) from these companies...jbl, jvc, fosgate, pioneer, panasonic, sony, clarion, blaupunkt. i am only limited to these brands because of my discounts. i would also like to know what setups other owners on her have and any other info that might be useful. thanks!

 

I dont drive a SC, but I can help you out with the brands. These are just my opinion.

JBL has some new sub amps and subs that are pretty impressive in terms of SPL.

JVC i am not real familiar with, I do know they have some "Kamelean"? head units that are pretty nice

Fosgate makes everything and has been around a long time, but they are known for making loud subs and amps.

Pioneer makes nice head units and decent midrange speakers

Panasonic is a good brand for head units and multimedia

Sony is not as good as some of these brands, there Xplod stuff looks cool though...

Clarion makes nice head units and speakers

Blaupunkt is good, but there are better options for the money

If it were me Id do this:
Pioneer, Panasonic or clarion headunit
Clarion, RF or pioneer mids and highs
JBL or fosgate subs
fosgate or jbl amps
I bleieve RF is the only brand you mentioned which carries wiring.
