Default Keyless door open doesnt work 92sc300

I recently got a 92 SC300 and the keyless remote on the stock key doesnt work. I tried replacing the battery, and messed with the on/off switch by the steering wheel but still no luck. I'm not familiar with lexus' at all, so i was wondering if there wa sa common problem with these on this car and how to go about fixing it. Also, if someone coudl at least point me in the direction of how to fix it i'd be greatly appreciative too. Thanks.

That's if you want to buy new keys, which is what I would suggest doing.

Sorry, I tried using the search feature, but really didnt have much luck. And I understand how annoying it is to reanswer the same quesiton over and over again, but on that same note, its not very fun to search for a bazilion years. I really odnt even know what half this stuff is either, so thats also why I probably didnt have much sucess finding anything.

But anyways, basically if it doesnt work, it means my key is busted, becuase the keyless entry part on the cars themselves dont go out? Is what what you're saying? Thanks.

EDIT: I Just checked the price son the keys....340? for my keyless to work again? I might as well just get an aftermarket setup. I'll use the search feature but I dont know what keywords to use, so if you could help me out there i'd be greatly appreciative. There has to be a way to just resolder some stuff.
