Hey guys. I need some advice on what to do with my system. I am debating between Two 10 inch Alpine Type R subwoofers (4 ohm Dual voice coil) 300W RMS and 1000W peak, or between two 10 inch Rockford Fosgate Punch 3 (4 ohm dual voice coil) 400 RMS 800W Peak.

I used to have a pair of generic 10 inch subs but i want more. I'm lookin for some tight clean bass that plays well with trance, alternative, hip hop, basically any genre of music. I am going to get a Bass controller but i was wondering if anyone knew which subs would go better?

I've been suggested to go with a sealed box? Any suggestions? Also maybe i should go for 12's? Any input would be apprecaited! =)

 

JL W7's can't go wrong. Or if you don't wanna lay the cash down for them you can go with the W6v2's those are good in 10's or 12's.

im in the same boat looking for a system

 

i listened to a couple JL and a bunch of eclipse and i ended up getting a 7300 aluminum series eclipse 12" and i am very happy with it, plays well with all genres, now i have to dynamat my trunk though

 

What amp are you using? Also what is your budget, and what are your space limitations?

 

my budget is aroudn 900 dollars. I'm not sure what amp but im thinkin of a 2 channel Rockford fosgate or Kicker amp. My space limitations is probably half of the Second gen Gs 400's. I still want access to the spare tire.
