i have a quick question. i am going to be installed a 12 inch eclipse titanium subwoofer with a jl audio 1000/1 amp to run it in my 2005 gs300. my question is which is the best way to mount the sub. i will do a sealed box, but should i mount the sub facing towards the trunk lid, or up towards the rear deck lid, or down toward the floor of the trunk. i dont have any experience putting a system in a gs so i am curious what every has had good luck with.

Having it face the rear deck or upwards will cause alot more rattles, believe me. Im very happy with the way mine is. Its on there very right side of the trunk facing the left side (it also doesnt make my cd changer skip anymore because it is facing away from it now). So you could do that, or have it in the center of the trunk facing the rear. Or have it facing the cabin, either way.
