Default SC400 Stereo Install Pix

Finally got my stereo installed. Here are a couple of pics along with specifics.

Kenwood Excelon 717 revolving face cd player
Kenwood 9044 EQ
Kicker 700.5 5-channel amp
MB Quart 6 1/2 seperates front
Soundstream Perfect 5 1/4 rears
10" Bazooka (for now, trying to decide on a single 12")

I really like how the head unit and eq match the interior since installing in the SC is near impossible. Tell me what you think.

Looks good......thats almost the same exact setup I wanna run except with the Kenwood DVD touchscreen unit on top and the 9044 EQ on the bottom. But I'm still debating on whether I wanna get the double DIN DDX-7015. I'm a big Kenwood guy. I like their styles and quality.

Clean setup, I was thinking something like your setup with a dvd player on top.

i have my amp mounted on a wooden board on top of the gas tank. It saves space and prevents the amp from getting damaged in the trunk space and definately looks alot cleaner unless your looking to show off your amp then thats a different story.

The only reservation I have about hiding the amp is the ability to get cool, fresh air to it. This thing is powering a total of 7 speakers and would hate to burn it up. It has a good fan on it, just not sure if it would be hampered in an enclosed area.

you should pick up another gloss black trim ring to match the top one. that would finish it of and make it look like they belong together.

I could not agree more. I am putting you in charge of finding me a gloss trim piece for my EQ

Seriously, I would love one but the dull gray is what it came with and not sure if they offer the gloss black anywhere.
