You could however you need to adquire all the parts needed for the retrofit which includes the display, nav ecu, wiring harness, gps antenna.

Guys unless I'm mistaken, he wasts to put OEM nav in a Lexus that never came with Navigation as an option.

Josh, is that right?

I'm sure it can still be done with enough time, patience and $$$, BUT I'd guess it will be more difficult than retrofitting OEM Nav into a car where nav was an option.

I am trying to install the Electro Multivision unit but do not have a wiring diagram. All the wires were cut and some of the plugs are missing from the back of the unit.

Can you please help?

The unit that I am trying to install has the little clear screen with the temperature display at the top right hand corner.

Thanks
Nazir

the 95 sc that josh has came with navigation in its jdm version so it is possible to install in a 95. the problem is the software is cdrom not dvd so not as good as the newer versions. the nice thing is the japanese versions are already set up with tv inputs as it was legal in japan and parking brake sensors not needed. the other posiiblilty is 2002 toyota navigation systems(with denso computer so tv tuner and dvd connections can be made. they are plug in and play for 90s lexus cars but they are still dont fill the top and botton space like the jdm version does. the jdm sc navigation headunit also brings factory pioneer quailty single cd indash headunit so no more fussing wioth the 12 disc changer. email me at egusman@woh.rr.com for pictures of the compatible for 92 to 2000 sc nav unit. with single cd caseetee tv tuner all made by pioneer for the soarer.

The vehicle that I have is a Japanese LX470 manufactured in 1999 and the originally Electro Multivision unit in the dash had tv, nav cd, am/fm, cassette and air condition all with touch screen control but the unit was removed and the wires cut.

I am trying to install another unit but the colour codes are different to the plugs at the back of the unit.

Can you help with the wiring diagrams or any other pertinent information? I am willing to pay for the diagrams or help. You can contact me at nazali@vptl.co.tt

Thanks
Nazir

I have been debating on doing the Navigation for a while. I was talking to lexus and my friend up there said if you were to buy the stock nav that you might as well buy a new car with one in it. Its super expencive. you would be better of going with alpine or an aftermarket nav and buying the stock houseing for it and then buying a screen. For an IS it cost about 3K but I dont know about other cars. I hope this helps you.
