I've decided to get the Eclipse AVN2454. At the same time, I'm goin for new speakers, tweeters, and subs. So I have a couple questions. I'm looking to do two 10" free air subwoofers in stock location. I plan on replacing the speakers and tweeters, for this I'm looking into the Kenwood products, but would be swayed if recommended better. What kind of amp am I'm looking to get? how many channels would i need? I know free air subs are rare now but I'd like to keep trunk space so what would be a good one?

I dont know how many stock subwoofers the SC has but I believe its just one 10" free air sub. You would probably need to do some cutting on the rear deck to get that other one on there. Your best bet is to get a sealed or ported enclosure with the 2 subs. As for the amps, you would probably need 2 amps, 1 4 channel to power up the mids and highs, and 1 mono channel amp to power up the 2 subwoofers.

Rgarjr : yea there will be cuttin involved on the rear deck to fit two 10s... i've seen it done somewhere to an SC and looked very stock. Thanx for letting me know what kinda amps i'll need. also do you think i'll need a capacitor?
