Default LIghts dont flash with stock alarm

Hey,
I have a 95 SC400 with the stock door lock/alarm on the lexus key. Ive owned the car for less than 6 months and Ive noticed that when I lock or unlock the alarm, the lights dont flash.
Is it suppsed to?
If so, how do I get mine to do it again?
If not, how do I get mine to do it anyway?
Thanks!

I just got mine a couple days ago, and I have been thinking the EXACT same thing! I had a 2000 RX300, and the lights used to flash everytime I hit the lock / unlock button. I assumed that all Lexus did that, but to my dismay, that was not the case. So...(not to sound repetative...but) has anyone figured out to get the lights to flash when the car is locked / unlocked??? Please share!!
Thanx in advanced...

well my horn doesnt honk, but it does give that beep sound to let me know that its armed or disarmed.
I beleive that when they added that sound they also added the lights flashin with it. Is that correct?

I don't even have a beep, maybe the speaker is dead? it's easier at night to see the doors are locked, becuase when i hit lock, the dome goes off, but during the day i never know if the door is locked..

granted ive only had the car 3 days, but it bugged me before i left..

That's what I thought...but all I get is the beep no flashes...

Is there anyone out there with a 95 SC3 or 4 that gets the beep AND light flashes?

Default Flash Yes, Honk No

There's nothing to fix because they don't do that.

And while you are of course free to do as you please, if you do figure out how to alter it to beep, I hope you don't move near me. I've got enough self-centered folks on my block that feel the whole street needs to hear about it every time they turn their alarms on or off. Somehow, the rest of us are able to figure out how to turn our alarms on and off without disturbing everyone around us, but not them.

LoL Perry...I hear ya

Fer me...the thing that bugs the ***** out of me is when people accidentally set off their alarm, and they have no clue what to do...they just stand there like a fool staring at their car. Especially at 5 in the morning. And there's this one car...I swear the alarm is on a timer. Everyday, at 4:45am, the stinking alarm goes off. Someday...............

If I am reading this correctly, folks are looking for some sort of audible or visual signal the car is indeed locked. As I drive 92's & 93's, I used to look in and check - double check whether things were locked, until I discovered that if I locked the car and then accidently unlocked the car (without opening the door) the door would re-lock itself and arm the alarm after 30 seconds...

Ok, does that mean high chances of getting locked out your car? But yeah I understand.
