I think I must have found this through google about a month back. Very informative. Just a note, you *cannot* simply disconnect the 3rd radio connector that goes to the CD changer. The radio won't turn on (it just blinks). You have to cut the 4 wires that feed the headunit to use the CD setting as an "aux in", leaving the changer connected. Works great though. My iPod mini is happy (and it fits in the stupid cupholder hole).

Default Details, please....

Assuming you have a Nak, are you talking about C1, C2, C6 and C7 on socket C of the head unit?

(Or, put another way, A1, A2, A5 and A6 on socket A of the CD unit?)

So you just tapped (not cut) your iPod's output into those 4 wires? How do you then control whether the CD or iPod plays?

So with this information, I would be able to run an aftermarket amplifier and still keep the headunit?

Yeah, if you could elaborate on what you did to connect the ipod that would be great!

Would just like to say that thanks to your help and the nak hack I've sucessfully integrated my iPod into my 1992 SC300 Nakamichi stereo, sounds much better than a tape-deck adapter or my FM Modulator. I was going to put in switches to make my stock CD player still work but I only had 1 switch and I needed 2 (one positive, one negative) and I was too impatient to leave it open til I bought another and I was too lazy to go out and get one so I guess I'm stuck with my iPod...oh no!
