Well, an audigy will always have better sound than the onboard sound card. But if you are pressed for money then you can use the onboard audio and hook it up to your AUX input (if you have one or something of that nature, if not you're screwed).

Yeh, that's what I'm talking about You head unit needs to have some inputs. You hook up your sound car (onboard for you, so you don't have to get an Audigy, even though it sounds better) to the input and select input on your head unit - this will put the player in input mode and the speakers will play whatever the computer is sending out

Unfortunately for some reason I find that I need Advil or Motrin (endorsement not implied) after reading these posts.

(Just kidding ya...)

Here's a link that'll help you out. It's a complete set of wiring diagrams for a few different types of installations. I hate to sound like a broken record, but go to mp3car.com and do a search and some reading. That's what I did and it's how I found this information. I must have done 2-3 dozen searches and read for countless hours about what to do and how to do it.

1 din - one of those foldout screens.

2 din - a 7" display pretty easily with the casing or an 8" display w/o casing.

You need a 1/8 cable to RCA splitter. The 1/8" jack is stereo and each RCA is a seperate channel, so you will get a 1/8" cable to 2 RCA spiltter. This is perfect for you.

It seems like you don't know that much about audio and computers, are you sure that you can pull this off yourself?

i do know about this and that about comp and car audio. i did built this computer and customize my sound system for my es300. but its just the little things like this rca cable conversion that got me thinking. and now i m wondering about how to power the computer. i know that there is a power convertere out there, but not sure how it actually hooks up. so i m still drawing the schamatic in my head. once i figure all this out, i start saveing for it. and find the time. lol so look forward on seeing a super music jukebox in a es. (late next year i hope)

thanks agian
