Default TV/DVD on ES330 Navigation screen

Is there a way to have it installed? Or, a DIY guide from some link? Thanks.

This is one expensive unit. Unless you have it already installed in your ES, it's not worth getting. You're better off buying a better aftermarket unit for a fraction of the cost.

flipside-

I think you misread the post. He has a Nav system on his car already, but he wants to know whether he can modify this unit to play DVD's & TV stations.

Okay makes sense. On the other lexus models, there is a module you can add to the existing factory nav to play NTSC DVD's. I'm not sure about this unit since it is a JBL/Levinson/Kardon nav screen unit. This same related unit is found in the Camry & Solara. There should be a way to do it. I'm not sure if it has been done for this specific nav unit. Other Lexus models, yes.

I also have a '05 ES 330 with the Nav (not the ML tho)
and am very anxious to get tv/dvd play thru the nav screen.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

Not sure about warranty, but typically dealers can only void what they can prove related to the aftermarket modification (for example they couldn't void your engine or tranny or paint part of the warranty) - there is a law to that effect.

I have no further information other than he's been working on it for a while and think it was close to market.

Yes, got some clarification and info. He posted a thread here.

Bad news for you is he told me they have it setup and working for the previous gen ES, but are still a couple of months out on the 05.
