OK all you Gurus, need some help with a stock factory system Nackamichi in a 1995 SC 400 that I
just bought 3 hours ago. Before I tear this thing all apart maybe someone could shed some light
on the problem! It seems to have limited volumn on the left side of the car and the rear. The right side seems to work great. Is it the
speakers or the amp? I know I may have to check these components myself, but from everyones
experience on these forums what goes out first or what usually is the culprit? I just don't want to
tear all of the speakers out of the car to find out that the amp is usually the failure item. Any help
greatly appreciated.

 

it is probably the speakers. the amps usually blow due to water damage which makes them not work at all. ornthe protection circuits are blown causing a sticato pattern of sound but equal on all speakers. so when just certain speakersa work the others are usually blown.
