I'm thinking of getting a viper 791xv two way LCD car alarm and was wondering if any one has one, and if so is it worth the $249.00?

 

I have the the 790xv which is the same as the 791xv except the remote and I love it, never have any problems with it and it always works when I need it. The only thing and this is common with all LCD remotes is that it eats batterys.
As for the price, $249 installed???? If that is installed then yes jump on it. If it isn't installed, you won't get the lifetime warrantee because Viper dealers aren't allowed to sell this product over the counter. I would have an authorized dealer install it so you get the warrantee.

It's not the installed price., but I have a dealer here in Watertown, NY who will do the install as long as it is a new unit still in the box. They just want $600.00 for the unit and install. But if I bring them the unit he said he 'll cut me a deal.

 

How far are you from watertown/Ft Drum , NY? I'm a soldier and I just got back and want to secure my valuablesin my 93 SC400 with this alarm. Also can you do custom box's for my car?

 

i have the python 881xp..which is the same as the viper u mentioned. i love mine

 

I had the viper 790xv and then upgraded to the 791xv both are great alarms. if your payint 249$ installed thats a great price, also if you plan on doing remote start you will need the 555U unit also.
