OK,
So I decide to install XM into my car. The antenna was already there from the previous owner so it should be pretty simple. I get in there to find the most horrible mess of wires you have ever seen. So, I start fixing up the connections ( was bare wire) with butt connectors and go on my way. I finally get everything done and put everything back together. Turn the car on and - NOTHING!!! So I'm thinking WTF!
I take everything out and look in there, checking to see that all the connectors were making good contact. So, out of nowhere a wire comes out in my hand??? It is a red wire about 5 inches long. Well, obviously one side goes to the power wire coming out of the radio. Where does the other side go??? The yellow is constant so if I tap into it I will have to manually turn off my radio when I turn the car off. Then I have a black that is tapped into a solid blue and a blue/white. I checked them with my light tester and they are not getting any juice. So where does the other end of my red go?? Even though there are 47 million wires back there I don't know which one to splice into??? Can anyone help before I have to go get an audio tech to splice a wire and then rape me for $50?
Thx,
Jonny

On the SC behind the headunit there are TWO red wires.
1) Front right speaker - pin 7 connector C
(connector C has 15 pins on it)
2) pin 3 connector B (the blue connector with 6 pins)
this red wire runs to your radio control/volume switch that is seperate from the headunit.
Two optins for BLUE wires as far as factory wiring goes.
FRONT LEFT speaker lead or SUB+
BLUE-WHITE runs to the antenna relay.
YELLOW is supposed to be the mute wire....
That's what I get from the SC diagram. You PM me your email address I'll send you the PDFs.

Hey man,
I ended up just giving up looking for it and splicing into the cigarette lighter - that way it will turn off when I turn the car off. But thank you for your time though - it is much appreciated!
Peace,
Jonny
