Default Signal Filtering Source On SC Nak System

Search feature broken at this time, please excuse possible duplicate question...

Looking at the SC audio wiring diagrams, I'm unable to determine if the Nak amp receives a filtered signal from the head unit, or if it has internal circuitry that provides "crossover" functions. The reason I'm asking, is that I'd like to install some 6 1/2's in the doors, and would consider replacing the amp with an aftermarket one that allows for a lower cutoff point to take full advantage of the larger speakers. However, if the signal coming to the rear of the car is already filtered, it makes that task impossible simply by installing an aftermarket amp. I've read all of the "Stickies" and any thread that looked to pertain to the SC Nak system, but don't recall seeing this come up. I sincerely apologize if it has. Thank you in advance.

Wonderful forum, BTW. Learned lots from that speaker install FAQ.

I think you're in good shape; I don't believe the NAK amp gets a filtered signal. There are some people on here who have replaced the NAK amp and kept the HU I think this issue would have come up if that had been the case. Good luck on your install!

Thanks, Pianoman. Anyone else have experience with this?
