Default Sound System

A friend of mine is installing a system for me..he installs a bunch of systems and he knows how to fix them so i trust him on my car, but just to be safe are there any problem areas or things i would need to kno before i go through with it..its 2 12" mtx's and an amp...is there a specific way to get to the head unit? thanx

yes, there is a specific way to get to the head unit. on the dash where there is the tray looking thing, you have to pull out the "fuzzy" insert first. when you do that you will notice two bolts in plain view that you have to unscrew and then the top part with the air vents and all will come out. after that you have to take out the a/c and heater unit and the radio will be attached to that by a metal-bracket like thing. there are more bolts and stuff in there, that was the short version but you have to start at the top and work your way down to get out the radio.
