Default Question about Nav System

My wife is buying an '03 ES 300 with navigation and she said you can't enter information into it while driving; such as a different address, is this true? If so, is there a way to alter the system? Any help would be appreciated.

That is a safety feature built into the system so that you dont cause or get into an accident while trying to change destinations. It is not a safe mod to do if she drives by herself......accident waiting to happen

Default nav system

I understand the safety issues but if she is sitting at a light or we are both driving it would be nice to be able to use it. Is it something that can be done? Thanks for the help.

If you're sitting at a light (i.e., stopped with the motor running), the nav will work and you can enter a new address. If that is your concern, you don't have a problem. The nav prevents new information from being entered only when the car is in motion.

That's ok with me. I thought you would have to have the car in park to use it. This is much better. The owner of the car said this is the best nav system out there so I am looking forward to using it. Thanks for the info.

The nav is one of the best toys I ever bought myself. I'll never get another car without it. Enjoy!!
