Default Remote Key Switch?

Hey, I recently ran some amp wiring and think I hit the remote key switch because now my remote key isn't working. I've done a search and have found out it's somewhere around the trunk switch but I just can't find it. Can anyone direct me to where this switch is?

I am almost positive that the switch is directly below the sterring column... I have turned it on and off during the winter to minimize battery usage.

hmm, I still can't find it. I don't have any switches under the steering column... at least none that I can see or feel.

whaaa? no wonder i couldn't find it...
how weird... because i have the keyless entry. looks like i'm going to have to dissassemble that area and find where it has disconnected. anyone know if these wires have a special color or anything?

edit: or does anyone have the part number for the switch? i've been having some electrical issues and now i'm thinking that it has something to do with this... maybe if i go all out oem and can get rid of any potential problems.

try this part number: 849872-4030B0 but it only says 93-94. what year is your sc? I have 93 and there's a switch but probably if it's not 93-94, there's no switch??? We need to confirm with other members.

other part numbers:
Keyless entry switch
medium gray (93-94): 849872-4030B0
ivory (93-94): 849872-4030A2
spruce (93-94): 849872-4030G0

My keyless entry never worked either. I changed receiver ECU, chip, transmitter but didn't help. I suspect there's an open circuit somewhere.

It's a 95. It quit working when I removed that carpet to lay down the 4 gauge wiring for an amp (which hasn't been connected). I'll check some more tonight... hopefully I can find something new...

any 95-97 owners w/ or w/o a switch?
