I believe the unit is the Rosen 1500?... Its an all in one double din unit. I have seen installs on SC's but want to know what my fellow members think about its quality both sound sight and functionality.

 

I had one for about a week...... and didnt like it one bit.... but thats just me. It seemed very flimsy and had hardly any music control - IE phase control, frequency manipulation etc. Nothing more than fade, balance, treble, and bass. I previously had a top of the line clarion VRX935VD .... and the quality was far better. Not to mention features etc. I was able to find both on ebay for around the same price. If i was to do it again i would stay away from the rosen unit. I like the idea of a built in screen - so you dont block the AC controls but the rosen wasnt a good replacement if you ask me. Not to mention the add on DVD was going to be an extra 2k IF it materialized......

thanks so much for the feedback... You are right on point regarding a screen that does not block the ac contorols when opened... I am considering a single din installed on the lower portion if i don't purchase a double din.
I have wondered that since the design of the Rosen fits the SC300/400 so perfectly how come so many more members aren't throwing them i? Is it possible that an EQ could have haeped or was the overall package just sub-par compared to Clarion, ALpine Pioneer...etc.
