Sounds nice, but check your local laws, as of September 1, 2003 in Houston it's illegal to have a visible video screen from the driver's seat. Not sure bout your area. But everything but Sting is pimp about that picture.

hey, looks very nice. if you are going to do one for the sc, let me know when, because i was thinking of doing the same but do not have the money for a custom one. So if you do do that, can you make like.....additional parts for me and i'll buy them off of you??? you know, since you are already doing it, might as well make a few bucks out of it.

Which head unit are you thinking of using? Rosen, Eclipse, or something else? Should be cool, and don't get caught if its against the law!

heres the toyota navi.
no i dont beleive theres a law such as that in new jersey. on the other hand why would it be against the law if some cars come with factory navi. that doesnt make sense. but i guess it's for safety reasons.

Can you actually put the toyota navigation system into the SC? How much would that go for and where can you get it?

yes you can put the toyota navi in but u will have a 1/2 din space which you can improvise with.
and you can buy them for about 1700.00 thats the full dvd navigation all wires. i believe it's oemvalue.com.

Clarification,
it's illegal to play video (movies, games, TV, etc.) on a screen that is visible from the drivers seat. Displaying Navigation images while driving is OK .

Most DVD players are set up to dis-able video images on the front screen when the car is not in park. Install shops are, by law ,supposed to wire it up that way (depending on your state laws of course), but obviously this can be defeated.

I was supposed to do a flush screen for Lex400sc, but it never happened due to lack of funding.

My brother told me about this, and I didnt think it would work. Do you know anyone that has done this retrofit? If it is mechanically possible, it may be as simple as adding a custom shroud and calling it a day!
