Question Navigation TV/DVD -Tuner

I was looking around ebay and found this guy selling a TV/DVD tuner for our factory navigation system. I was wondering how valid this product. I've seen the Vllad ones (sp?) and it looks no where near what this guy is selling. His tuner looks like a circuit board enclosed in a little rubbermaid container. What do you guys think? Just go on ebay and search Lexus GS Navigation TV-Tuner.

I purchased that exact unit direct from the seller as he is located near my house. The picture that you posted is only the rgb conversion , he also includes a separate tv tuner with the kit.I just installed it today in my car and it works fine.

well I looked around for a while before I purchased this unit , I saw vlads great looking black box but was turned off by the $300 price just for the box then having to pay for the tuner/controller seperately. The added bonus to buying this system for me was the fact that I got a chance to meet the maker of this device and see it installed in his gs 300.Then I was able to purchase it directly from him cash in his hand product in mine!! He told me that he is working on a better looking box than that tupperware looking garbage he sold me , but since the unit is hidden when I installed it anyway it really didn't matter. He actually runs a business that repairs toyota factory electronics , and I was able to visit his commercial space to see for myself what kind of a technician he is.I will try to post pics this week of my install as reference to this product.Anyway I feel that it is a pretty good deal for what you get for the money and it was pretty easy for me to install , you just have to live with the fact that you have a tupperware rgb conversion unit and a cheap tuner/controller but other than that they both work fine in my car and are hidden from sight.

hope this helps

hey twinturba,
I have a 2001 GS430 located in CA. Would you kindly share with me where you purchased this product? I'm insterested in installing an RGB unit in my car and willing to give this one a try. Also, could it be possible that we can meet up? where in CA are you located? Thanks in advance..

twinturba,
I'm in San Jose. Is it cool if we hook up so I can take a look at your system. Also, if you can tell me where the store/ or who the contact person is, I can proceed from there. Let me know what works best for you..thanks.
