Navigation System Useless in mountains
I took my first road trip with my new 2023 RX 500h and was thrilled with it until I entered the mountains. At that time, I stopped at a viewpoint for some pictures. When I got back in, I cancelled my current trip and wanted to put a new one in to take me to a different town but because there was no cell service, I couldn't set a new trip. It just kept displaying a message saying "Sorry, This request has timed out". I then figured I would just bring up the map and follow it to the town but the detail on the map was so bad I couldn't figure out which roads to take. My old RX 350 navigation system might have been out of date but it would have guided me out of the situation. Is there no good built in navigation data on the RX 500h? How does the navigation system work once the subscription expires? So far, very disappointed in the navigation system but impressed with the other parts of the vehicle.
