I am considering replacing the head unit from my 2007 GX 470. It has had a few issues for the past several months, most notably is that the navigation screen consistently shows the incorrect location for the car. For instance, if we are driving through upstate, South Carolina, will show us driving through Georgia or North Carolina.
so my two questions are: is there a way to fix the nav screen to show our current location correctly (we have calibrated it multiplex times to reset our current location and it always shifts again), and if that’s not feasible then is it feasible to replace the head unit with an aftermarket one with carplay without losing the ac control functionality and diagnostic capability
im pretty far out of my depth here but I want to learn some more about this if anyone could help
