I have to say, I'm incredibly surprised by those results. Granted, I don't think people shopping for the DB11 will be as concerned about outright performance, but kudos to Lexus for making such an awesome GT car.
I sat in an LC500 yesterday and I was blown away by the quality of the interior, and the package as whole.
I'm looking forward to seeing how they hold their value over the next few years.
Aston Martin's almost never do well in comparison tests, but they have some of the most beautifully designed sport coupes ever !!
And yes, I would feel like James Bond driving one
Excellent results, although I'll always say there's even the slightest tinge of bias towards the paying customer lol. The results of the testing shows that although power is down, the LC punches above its weight. When the LC-F arrives, then we'll be in for a real treat.

Yep, but this Aston Martin may be the exception to the rule as may be the new stuff around the corner for them. Wife is on investment/finance side of these uber British car companies and rumor is good things around the corner . . . Aston Martin needs it desperately. The current prices for what you get makes little sense, especially when you get to the $360k Vanquish level, and my DB11 was definitely more of a bucket list item for me than anything.
Nice showing by the LC thought that track is super tight. Be interested to see lap times on one of the more commonly used test circuits such as Willow or Laguna Seca. Is the LC a sleeper or just awesome in low speed tight turns?
But really, sitting next to each other the LC looks like the exotic. What a great value of looks and quality at about the same performance for half the price.
As an LC lover it pains me to say this, but this "test" was way too biased. I think if it were the classic drag-strip and lap-times test, then the LC would lose.
However, I have absolutely no complaints about the LC, just don't say how much hp it has if somebody asks you. I made that mistake at the gas station this past weekend and got a look of pity. The dude's wife didn't care though, she was all over me with questions. 471 hp is not "too little" for some people.

The problem is Justin Bell. He basically works for Lexus and I've never heard him say a cross word about the brand in any of these comparos. I don't know anything about AMCI or the tracks that they make for these tests...but it was one of the few times that I've seen the RC-F beat an M4...by 2 seconds. And guess who was driving?
Having said all that....I will, again, be trying to push my wife towards the Lexus when we get rid of her M4 next spring. Let's hope I have better luck with the LC than I had with the RC-F.
