Hmmmm i dont knwo about this one. They say the RX-F will be the next F marqued vehicles but i dont know why they are doing this. Mercedes with their M class coupled with AMG, i thought, was probably the stupidest thing iv come to see on the road. Who or why would a minivan have 500hp?!?! Thats absurd....besides bragging rights theres nothing i find logical about this direction of performance and power.

and now with an RX-F...hmm i can see a much finer tuned suspension for the RX and dynamic handling improvements to reflect a more unique driving experience simialr to a sport sedan as a good direction for the model to go, but i dont know if giving it about 500hp and mucle packing it is exactly the theme to identify the car with now.

I cant say im not completely interested in seeing the results of this avenue pursuit, but honestly IMHO, seeing a thing like an M class or R class AMG on the road is just stupidity...actually makes me wanna laugh.

April Fools? lol.

incase it isn't, Lexus would be targetting no one if they create an RX-F. If the current RX can't even come near to the performance of the BMW X3/X5, then no way an RX-F would compete. There is only so much you can do to a boat before you get to the point of diminishing return..

Agreed. Lexus can't even top Acura and Infiniti with their current line. They would have to really get a knockout horsepower blow at an affordable price to get a respectful market segment. What would help is to have more aftermarket performance support.

Third Row Smaller Recaro Seats

Take it easy guys. The "soccer mom" comment sure makes it a prank.
Although when I told my wife about it she said "sure, why don't they make one earlier"...

I think Toyota would be the last car company on the planet that would build a 400+ hp FWD soccer mom crossover.

Sorry, I can't see a 3400 lb. RX going to 60 in less than 4.5 seconds. We will see a 10 second GS before this

One thing is for certain... if they WERE going to do this... they need to make the RX MUCH wider. In comparison to the ML or the R-Class, it might as well be an Izuzu Trooper.

Is this real or not?

https://www.clublexus.com/index.php?...467&Itemid=183

NOT.

A) listed April 1, 2007
B) reuse of LF-X with photoshopped RX-F badges.

What about the possibility that they decide to base the next RX & RX-F on the LF-X concept ?

Pulling my leg, aren't you?? Did you photoshop it yourself, it's a nice job...

There's too much hyperbole in there..."fastest Lexus ever"???

I like the RX a lot, ride one every week, but I don't think Lexus is going to make its crossover SUV the fastest one in the lineup...

RX-F would be interesting to see hopefully it be a more powerful and fuel efficient hybrid though.

I for one would like to see a GX-F before I see an RX-F.

I think your right about the RX performance and X3/X5 comparison.. Lexus would be going in the wrong direction with this one..

Really? They way I always saw the GX and LX was more truck based utility cargo mover type SUV. The RX on the otherhand fits the sporty SUV bill eventhough there really is not much sport in SUVs to begin with
