it could happen but did you measure those temps on an LC? since the discs are gigantic, at 15.7" front and 14.1" rear, i would think they wouldn't get as hot as other cars with much smaller rotors?
anyway, i'm not worried about rotor warping.
Those are avg testing temp across the spectrum. Larger rotors (greater surface area) will help to dissipate heat better than smaller ones but they still can reach uber high temps and the sudden introduction of cold hose water or a deep puddle can negatively affect them. Furthermore the surface area is just one component, where the thickness is also key in preventing warpage under these conditions. Bottom line - Just keep cold hose water etc away from them when they are very hot! Driving into rain isn’t an issue because it’s a more of gradual introduction of cold water as it sprayed more evenly (for a lack of better words) onto/across the discs. As also mentioned over torquing is another culprit.

I have 12K miles on my LC w/performance package. It seems my brakes are already getting close to replacement according to the dealer.
I will be upgrading to the Tom’s Performer Pads but the I wanted to know if I need to replace the rotors as well.
The dealer says they can be machined but coming from many years of owning various AMGs I remember that I had to replace rotors each time.
I searched the forum didn’t find much discussion on rotors.
Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed.
Is is still under warranty? Did you get your free brakes from the dealer yet? There is a TSB out that if customer complains about squealing and brake dust they will replace with the non-performance brakes for free. It may not be the brakes you want but hey, free brakes.

Do 23 touring pkgd LC’s now come with these from the factory?
curious does Lexus still make any hard copy brochures? Luv to have one for the LC.
as Ephilyaw mentioned, you can download the pdf from the website. i have brochure and manuals on my ipad for easy reference. not interested in more paper cluttering up the house. i've got enough still.

every 60 miles? not happening here. although a quick hit to the rims with a pressure washer does wonders.

I used to always make sure I had the brochure that reflected the car, I’d keep it with my window sticker, books records etc. it’s a nice touch when you sell the vehicle.
