I wanted a car without a roof.

The End.
I care, that's why I asked.

By the way, that's a nice F355 you have there. I had one of those when I was in my 20's in the lates 90's when I was a stockbroker. It's a great entry level Ferrari!

Coupe for me.

BUT

I live in Mobile, AL - We only have about 15 days a year that are top down weather. It rains - yes more than Seattle most years. When not raining it is 95 degrees with 100% humidity. They say Hell is hot and dry - they lie - it is hot and HUMID!

I guess 355F1's assumption that I can't afford an LC500 has led him to ignore my question? Maybe I should start a Gofundme and some of the wealthier forum members will take pity on me and chip in to help fulfill my dream of owning a Lexus. If not, I guess I can always turn to the dark web and sell a kidney. I hear you only really need one to survive.

Owning an LC 500 is a great accomplishment. Owning a brand new Lexus period is an accomplishment. But folks gotta be humble. The more you achieve in life, the harder you have to work at humility. Nobody likes a rich snob. Even arrogant people don’t like other arrogant people. A person can’t judge how much money a person has by what chooses to or chooses not to drive. Some of us can afford a car like an LC 500 but would rather invest the money and drive whatever we want when we retire. A good friend of mine is a self made millionaire. For the longest time he drove a really beat up 98 Acura Integra that he bought from his nephew. He lives in a really rich part of town and he told me that when he’d be at stop lights the “rich” folks driving nice cars would laugh at him and some would even point and motion to the passenger to look at him. He said that he would think to himself ‘these people just don’t know that I’m a millionaire and could probably buy everything they own and they are probably making payments on their car.”
He later bought a new Lexus with cash and the sales lady was so shocked that somebody driving a beat up 98 Integra could afford to do so. I’ve bought new cars with cash and made some really big down payments. When I do, I make sure to dress extra plain so as to make a statement. And that statement is you can’t judge how much money a person has by their appearance.

I've never been a fan convertible soft tops for any car, it really messes up the body lines, in my opinion. Im hard pressed to think of a car that looks equal or better than a coupe. Just not my thing, artistically speaking.

None.

I looked for a white Cali T for six months but couldn’t find one with the options I wanted so I bought an LC instead.

I used to have BMW E93 M3 Hardtop Convertible and I love it, I wish my LC Vert is hardtop instated of cloth soft top.

Said it Once…..Now I will say it again. If only Lexus would have taken the LF-LC straight to production ….. As great as the LC is…..the LF-LC was a cut above.

Never been a fan of convertibles - though I have to give respect to what Lexus did with the LC vert - job well done. Some of the verts that I would consider (though I can't afford), would be something like an 812 GTS (even though it doesn't have the true convertible lines).

All that said, I still prefer the LC coupe....

Open air driving is just something that has never appealed to me. Sure its fun, but a total novelty. I get enuf attention driving in my coupe…..Don’t really care for the extra attention of driving on front street.....However, I do love the lines on the Vert.....Roof line makes it look like a more personal 2 seater.
