Default 2018 wIth Remote Start

I just saw a video where someone was doing remote start in a 2018. I tired it and it didn’t work.

Can this be programmed at the dealer?

Are there other features that be programmed at the dealer?

Here is the video: https://youtube.com/shorts/N6LCAVfdbQo?feature=share

techstream is the answer. You can enable that functionality in tech stream. It’s disabled by default

I never knew you could even get an LC without auto start. My 2018 came with auto start, and the key fob exploit also worked.

Thanks. There is anything else that can be programmed via techstream that is turned off by default?

Yes I am in Vancouver. I'm on the west side.

it is enabled always - only works if you pay for enform connect service for $89 a year. That also enables the app functionality.

Beautiful! and you got some ***** for not putting on a front plate in Vancouver. Vancouver Police Department are real Ahoies about it.
I might have seen you drive around, you got a aftermarket exhaust i believe?

There's only like a few of us in the city so its great seeing another LC owner.

I didnt log into my techstream yet for the LC, but i think you can turn on a few customization function like disable seatbelt warning chime, open sunroof by holding down unlock, one click unlock all doors (i think thats on by default) etc.

Ive also read that even if you do not have enform service, there's a way to hack the car with techstream and turn on auto start via remote. ill see if i can find the link on the RX forum, a few guys have got it working before.

Yeah, they can be quite militant about front plates speaking from experience besides many many other things. I sold my AMG since I feared the dreaded VI ticket because they hand them out like candy. It would have forced me to remove my down pipes which I didn’t want to deal with the hassle.

No exhaust (yet) because it’s something I’m consistently debating if I should do it or not. If I do I think Armytrix is my choice. I have added a few new CF parts and I have a front splitter which I recently removed for the time being.

I have an upcoming appointment to replace my broken centre console cover and I’ll show this to the SA and hopefully they can quickly turn it on for me.

I really appreciate the help on this.

Hopefully I’ll see you around town.
