Was working with my dealer for a while to source a 2022 Coupe when my salesman called me July 29th stating that the regional rep was in the dealership and to send him my exact build. Was told they would find something close in port or would be 2023 order.
Received a call last week that my car was being built and pending delivery for December. Just received an email with a VIN, build sheet and that would be arriving in Jacksonville port 11/25 or 11/26. Not exactly build to order as has HUD which was not on my list, but happy none the less.
Big thank you to everyone on this board as I picked up my 2023 LC today and exceeded expectations. IMO they fixed some of the the dynamic handling package issues which seems to have improved driver feedback over 2021 model I drove.
Requested and received some swag and pulled off ceramic tinting as props to this group. Also interesting that my mirror caps are gloss black as I thought would be chrome, but I like the black better. I may have missed that minor detail on the options/packages spec.
Congrats and welcome. Those of us who are in the "Lexus is not taking orders" club (and I know it seems different with our northern neighbors) are jealous. I am on the "long wait" but I only started a month ago. Being proactive, working with 6 dealers, multiple states, scouring the dealer sites, cars/autotraders/carguru, etc. I hope I have a 4 month wait like you!
CJ - keep trying as I had a number of dealers offer me inbound cars which seemed to come in waves of similar builds. For example, I was offered 3 different Silver over Rose Inspiration series cars within the past month before they hit the lots
I had an option to do a Bespoke order, but after reading about Lexus cancelling some 2022 orders I decided not to take the chance. I would have gone for leather seats and the 21" black wheels as not a fan of the chrome/black 5-spokes, which I'll probably sell. I'm just very happy to obtain an early 2023 at MSRP.
Atomic Silver / Toasted Caramel Alcantara - My RC was Atomic Silver, which I loved and think really shows off the LC styling. 2nd choice was Infrared, but I have a friend with paint issues on his red LC. Also. not a fan of the Alcantara, as it always seems to look a bit dirty/worn, but a trade off for the perf package

Yup that ("waves") is definitely what I've seen. Lots of whites, reds, and iridium (quite a few Inspirations) coming through lately. No Nightfall Mica (my first choice) or Caviar (2nd choice), with TC interior. One dealer said that when the factory starts producing a more limited paint and interior scheme, they don't jump around - maybe because it's more convenient, they're the most popular, or whatever. I am hoping that the next wave that comes along has more options in my colors.

Just thought I'd share. Since your ship is out at sea you don't get tracking until it gets close to land. With this link you get free satellite tracking that updates every couple of hours. That's how I tracked my car. LIBRA LEADER, IMO 9174490, Flag Japan (shipfix.com)
