Default Drive Mode Customization

Hi All. Can someone who has experience and/or knowledge please explain about the Drive Mode Customization in the vehicle system settings menu in the centre display.
If one changes the powertrain setting from normal to power, and chassis setting from normal to sport and then puts the drive mode into Sport Plus, will this make any enhancements to the performance or handling?
I recognize there is a Custom drive mode as well that can be programmed, but am uncertain if the Drive Mode Customization in the system settings menu only apply to Custom mode and not other drive modes as well.
Thank you in advance.

I possibly partially have answered my own question, except the part about what happens when the powertrain setting is changed to power from normal

Drive Mode affects the throttle response mapping except at Wide Open Throttle.
If you tip into the throttle 2" in Normal you will get a bit of power, same 2" will jump when in Power.
Drive Mode ECO is the opposite, 2" of throttle will be more leisurely acceleration. What is nice about
the Customization menu is when you want the throttle response to be lively (dynamic cruise control
will respond much closer to my actual drive style) but you want the plusher ride of normal or comfort.
Our ES 300h doesn't have the ability to customize the Drive Mode so it all or nothing in Sport.

That is interesting. Today, I changed the setting in the Drive Mode Customization, under the powertrain heading from normal to power and I felt like the engine was more responsive in Sport Plus mode, especially from a standstill and paddle shifting. Could I have been imagining this?
According to the chart, if I am reading it properly, just placing the car in Sport Plus should have the same effect as what I did inside the vehicle system settings using the track pad.
Or are the changes I made even applied to the car if I am not in Custom mode? A little confusing.

You are right, all the other settings appear to be detuned versions of the LC

I hope I am not being daft, but I am still wondering though what is the effect of going into the vehicle system settings menu, using the track pad in the centre console, and changing the powertrain settings in Drive Mode Customization to "Power" from "Normal"
If I understand properly, (and I might not be), it will increase the throttle responsiveness. But does increased responsiveness only happen if I am using "Custom" drive mode or as well if I am in "Sport Plus" drive mode?
I might review the tutorial again about the 2022 from Northside to see if I can pick up any clarity.

for fun sure, but not always, imo. sport+ only uses 8 of the 10 gears, so if one is taking a highway trip, sport+ is not ideal. i'd rather be in comfort with all 10 gears (plus smoother ride).

Bit...You are absolutely correct. There are alot of downsides to consider when driving in Sport+ mode. I never take my LC on trips. And I only primarily drive it locally. So on those rare occasions, I like the feel of the hold on lower gearing and the way the car responds to the pedal. I am certain that I am wasting a lil gas, but I don't care because I am in 'Zoom Zoooom' mode!

Default Am I Missing something?

Sorry for the dumb question, but when I go into Drive Mode Customizations, I only have 3 things to choose from: Powertrain, Chassis, and Climate...I don't have the steering, or dynamic handling. Is this a regional difference? I'd love to have the heavier steering at all times, not just Sport+

^^^^

Powertrain = Powertrain

Chassis = AVS, EPS, LDH

Climate = AirConditioning

I have mine set up for Powertrain = Normal, Chassis = Sport, Climate = Normal

The attachment that MCOMER provided in one of the above posts, explains a lot. I have had my questions answered.
