I got in my 2022 LC 500 pushed the brake pedal then pushed the start button NOTHING tried a few more times the car would not do anything the dash didn't light up went and got the other remote nothing tried the phone app nothing.called Lexus service they told me to jump it off. The car had 200 miles on it I was not about to jump this car off..Called my sales person he had another service writer to call me he was going to have the car picked up.Went back out about an hour later the car started. Took the car to the dealership they called me in a couple of days said the computer had logged the no starts but the could not identify what the problem was so I went and reluctantly picked up the car. Has anyone on the forum had a similar experience. I don't trust the car so I am not driving it far from home. This is not a experience I had expected from Lexus
ive never had that happen to me yet. Car has 1200km on it so far and it fires up every time no problem.
Ive only noticed that sometimes you need to depress the brake pedal more before it would register and fire the engine. Compared to my other lexus(s) the LC you need to really mash the brake pedal.
Even if you are not pressing the brake sufficiently or don't have a key fob with you
the dash will display the error message(s): Press the Brake and Press the Start/Stop
or Keyfob not detected. Did the car unlock when the door handle or key fob button
was pressed?
Garo...I am in GA too. Which dealer sold you your car? My 2018 had a similar starting issue a few days after delivery. I was able to recharge battery and return to dealer.
Dealer had car for 2/3 months. Had to order an ECU from Lexus Japan. Paid car payments for that period and gave me a new LS 500 loaner to keep me committed to car.
garo1943, sorry to read about your experience. sounds like a dead battery, but either way, nothing is perfect and given the stellar reliability of lexus in general and the LC specifically, hopefully the dealer can get to the bottom of it and you needn't worry about it after that.

bit confused by this second comment vs first. maybe you weren't pressing the brake pedal firmly enough?
I think that is what you have to do if when your keyfob battery is low and sensors are failing to recognize. Do you think it mite be a keyfob battery replacement issue or is the car just failing to recognize its presence? Either way, something needs to be fixed.
The car had 200 miles on it tried both keyfobs and the phone app nothing worked. Service said they ran diagnostic and saw three no starts but have no answer as to what happened or if it will do it again so how can I trust not getting stranded..
