Default great LC article

enjoyed this a lot!

Dear rich people, skip the SUVs and big sedans. Buy a coupe!

The Lexus LC is so good. It's sad that such beautiful, well-engineered two-doors are so rare

Pretty much from the first time I drove a Lexus LC, I fell in love with the car (and most of us on staff have similar feelings). And having spent a week recently in a 2022 LC 500h variant, I'm still as fond of it as ever. It is, in many ways, a near perfect grand tourer. It's got stunning good looks (confirmed by various strangers asking about it) with details at home on a concept car. I'll never get tired of the infinity mirror taillights. The interior does the same with leather and suede over nearly every surface and even more styling flair from the grooves in the doors to the floating handles. And finally, it's lovely to drive. Even with the hybrid engine, it's smooth and fairly swift, and the ride and handling are just on the sporty side of comfortable: great to commute in, and happy being pushed a little bit.

It's a car that's so good, that I found myself wondering, why aren't there more of them? And I'm not just talking about LCs (even though the LC is so good it really deserves to be selling in massive numbers). Why aren't there more personal luxury coupes and grand tourers?

Rest here...

I get tired of all of these idiot reviewers telling everyone how the interior is swatheddddd in leather.....

I'm sorry, but most of the interior is nuluxe/pleather/whatever you want to call it.

Lexus definitely cut corners on this to keep its MSRP down.

I would pay $6-8k if there was a leather option on par with RR/Bentley......

I know the interior can be disappointing on some versions of the LC, but I really don't have any issues with my white leather and orange alcantara . Guess I got lucky.

you're likely not really sorry and i don't care what it's made of as long as it feels and looks nice and wears well.

as do all manufacturers except maybe rolls royce.

lol, it would likely be a lot more than 6-8k then and i'm sure you could get a quality shop to do it for you.

Doubt it. Porsche charges about $6k for their Club Leather package and it is so beautiful.

I like our interiors. 911 interiors, like their blah exterior are boring and dull. That little nub nub they call a gear shifter and acres of empty buttons drive me nuts. Their seats are also paper thin and doesn’t look as plush as ours (especially our touring seats).

yes this can’t compare to a Bentley or a RR but it’s also not 300-600k. For a sub 200k car this is better, if not the best interior for the money.

100.... Nothing beats the LC. Just give me some mo ambient interior / exterior lighting!
ps.
And before anyone blows my comments all out of proportion, I am only talking bout Logo and Fogs on exterior and definitely Not under carriage.

leather, pleather, suede, alcantara - in percentages only the ocd'd would focus on - the LC is nevertheless
swathedddd in comfort. have you seen the 911 leather upgrade ? i have, and the 911 interior warrants a - so ? compared the LC's - wow !
btw, go check out the interior of the "entry level" ferrari reviewed nearby on local forums (the link showed up on an LC vid) which costs a 100k more...

My gf's Cayenne has the Club Leather option and it is plentiful and buttery soft.

I don't care for 911s.

The LC is the best car on the market for under $120k.

I'm simply saying I would pay more for better leather. A car of this caliber deserves to be covered in buttery soft leather.

The Semi-aniline leather seats in my previous ES350 and IS250 was way nicer than the semi-aniline leather on my LC seats, Period.

agreed the leather is better in the 911, it was the total impact of their respective interiors that blew me away.
and i couldnt agree more that the LC is the best car, period ....

Seems like you could find an interior shop to replace it all for leather for somewhere in that price range. Just go aftermarket.

If there's enough of a demand, an extended leather option would be nice, the M850's offer it and it's frequently selected.
