Default Horsepower Increase for LC 500

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to increase LC 500 horsepower? At over 4000 pounds, it could use another 20 to 30%.

or you could go on a diet

besides hp there's other things you could do. the recent stickie'd thread showing replacing the rear diff with the one from the hybrid will make the car more responsive (different gearing).
a freer flowing exhaust and headers are available will make a difference.
and someone on here it working on getting a custom tune for the ecu to boost things.

its not a numbers car, and honestly this pursuit of 0-60 is meaningless in the days of electric vehicles that does it in under 2 seconds.

Thanks. If you hear anything about a tune, please let me know. I had my 2018 MB GLA 250 ecu tuned by a tuner shop and it increased hp by almost 100 hp, I asked them about the LC 500, but they don't work on Japanese cars, only European.

The rear diff mod is the only meaningful mod available to this car right now which brings about a fairly large increase in perceived power. Definitely more than anything you could get from an intake/exhaust + tune job on a naturally aspirated car. That 100hp tune job is only possible in the realm of turbocharged cars

But I also agree that this car is not about power, and never was. Even in stock form, it's still very powerful and enjoyable to drive, which is what it was designed to do in the first place

A lot of people put stickers on for extra horse power. Have you tried that?

you could take the back seats out and do overall weight reduction. After aftermarket headers, intakes, and exhaust. Though you wont get the real gains they give without a tune. Theres a shop in cali that says they've tuned an LC but they have yet to show the after results. All they have shown are the stock dyno runs, which mean absolutely nothing.

The LC is in dire need gearing tweaks. I get that you just want to feel more power. A beautiful car, inside and out, and all its really in need of is a good 100hp and torque at 5-6k rpm. Give us closer to 500 wheel horse power instead of the 400. In reality, if you were able to add more low end power, thats all it really would need. The throttle response from a dig is essentially non existent, at least thats how it feels.

Lexus achieved what they wanted and made a luxury GT coupe...I love it and hate it at the same time!

Nobody has unlocked the ECU yet. It is unclear if it will be. There are a few cars that have ECUs that cannot be unlocked - the only way to tune them is either via standalone, piggyback, or, in some cases, sending the ECU to be physically modified or cloned onto an earlier, unlocked computer. These can cost thousands of dollars, and, in the case of standalone, can result in the loss of several vehicle functions.

Your GLA250 has a turbo. It's very easy to make more power out of a factory turbo engine - increase the boost and add fuel and timing. This will likely come at the cost of longevity.

I installed and OBD device in the OBD port on the car and the instructions said it would take up to 50 - 100 miles to learn how I drive and then make adjustments to the ECU. I will let you all know if I can feel any difference in a few weeks.

Nice vid man. I also have the Armytrix exhaust now for about 2 years. I have an Android phone for the app, but it seems to crash on me all the time. Have you tried playing around with the app on your phone? Which OS are you on IOs or Android? Curious to know if you've had trouble with the app as well.

Close to that - must be the ECU. Can anyone tell (from the video) what kind of supercharger this is? I don't think it's either a roots or twin screw. Seems like centrifugal, but I don't see any components....

Plumbing goes straight from the filters to front of the blower. It's a positive displacement blower - probably twin screw.
