So many on here braggin about how much they make, houses they own, etc., to a bunch of folks that can afford a LC500. OMG.
So if your stocks do so well why pay off in a year? Bs. You don’t get rich with the arbitrage. You really can’t afford to pay cash.
Hum. . . If you have your own cash, why are you paying someone to borrow their cash? You logic is because your "stocks get a better return. . ." Huh? You are buying a $100k+ depreciating asset that gets you less than a zero return. You can't say you are so interested in gains (paper) on your stock investments so you don't use cash that you have and write a check, when you are using it to buy a $100k+ depreciating asset with no return. That logic doesn't work. In writing the check for mine, I understood that I was throwing tens of thousands of dollars away to fees, taxes, registration, and depreciation and that "financially" I would have been much better off if I didn't buy the car at all and kept all those dollars working for me. However, the LC500 is not a "financial" purchase and with 100% certainty, your stocks will get you a massively better return. Rather, it is a highly emotional purchase and I am still loving every nano second of it. . . even though my bank account shows $115k less. . . The car is so good, I don't care, and I would do it again, and again, etc.
absolutely, love the car, love the looks, love the missing 100k = and every pennys worth of chills and thrills
it's hard to equate feelings with rationality, and who the hell cares - this ride is fun
perfectly put, for me; it was a totally emotional purchase, completely beyond reason and maybe even common sense - a 100k for essentially a one -person car ? are you nuts ?

Beautiful summation, it’s a very unique and special car that provides you immense joy, that’s a wonderful thing. Life is short as they say, appreciate your happiness and good fortune to own this beautiful automobile.

of interest re older lexus cars , like the sc430 and the ls400 , is the affection that their owners have for them
that goes way beyond any rational bounds; like many of us, people just love these things, despite advanced age
like my handle implies, i used to ride one, and the LC staunches my lust to ride another one !
