I just had my tires changed and the car has been lifted for alignment. Since then the PCS is flashing along with the warning sign is on. nothing related to the radar is working. Has anyone experienced this before?
my LC500 is 2018
Nope, not by the dealer. I just found these general guidlines on when to turn off the PCS and I highlighted below what could be the cause of the malfunctioning of the system. let's hope it is a re-setting issue.
a) Make sure to turn the pre-collision system off in the following situations, as it may operate unexpectedly or may not operate when necessary.
When the vehicle is being towed
When the vehicle is towing another vehicle
When transporting the vehicle via truck, boat, train or similar means of transportation
When the vehicle is raised on a lift with the engine running and the tires are allowed to rotate freely
When inspecting the vehicle using a drum tester such as a chassis dynamometer or speedometer tester, or when using an on vehicle wheel balancer
When a strong impact is applied to the front bumper or front grille, due to an accident or other reasons
If the vehicle cannot be driven in a stable manner, such as when the vehicle has been in an accident or is malfunctioning
When the vehicle is driven in a sporty manner or off-road
When the tires are not properly inflated
When the tires are very worn
When tires of a size other than specified are installed
When tire chains are installed
When a compact spare tire or an emergency tire puncture repair kit is used
If equipment (snow plow, etc.) that may obstruct the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly or forward recongnition camera is temporarily installed to the vehicle

How inspiring! I haven't tried towing anything with my LC yet. If only it snowed in Phoenix I would have to try a snow plow attachment.
This is why I always buy new and try to keep my miles and years under warranty in line with each other. Don't like to deal with unknown costly repairs.
