Just wondering why the need for a phone cradle. In our cars we always keep phones in the cup holders and really don't need to look at them while driving as everything is displayed on the mm screen and can be accessed accordingly. Does the LC not display calls/texts in the infotainment screen?

^^^^Not with an Android phone. Android Auto became standard and available in 2021. Those of us with earlier models are out of luck

If you don't mind can you post a pic of the cord coming out of your mirror? I couldn't quite see where it comes out, I hate to just start pulling of covers.

I got the Pro-clip, customized a mount for my phone that they didn't support, and got it installed. Love it!
