same is true for the professional that carries liability insurance, plus has been impacted by gas cost spikes, etc. yes $850 seems high, although even a sink has variable factors and can have complications... i recently got a new sink which is undermount under the granite, and it was a HUGE pain for 2 different contractors, one to get the old sink out (had to cut a piece of cabinetry in a very clever way so it couldn't be seen) and the other to put the new one in. i think it cost me about $350 or $400. maybe your contractor saw your lc500 and decided to present 'special' rates.

I know they are charging more due to supply chain and gas issues (not the ones from eating too many tacos). But I had my new countertops measured prior to taking out my sink (over mount) and they cut accordingly. Put back in same sink so all connections the same. Granite did cause some different sealing issues (caulk) but nothing major. My mom's handyman put it in for $75. So you can do the math
anyway, glad it's done!
I shopped around quite a bit before buying mine a few weeks ago, the ones I looked at didn't have markups per-se, but they did tack on the paint protection, mats, etc etc. At least you get something for your money. The PPF on my car's not great, it only covers half the hood which annoys me, but I negotiated it to half what they were asking for the stuff, so there's that...

Don't ever do half PPF on the hood. I did that on my benz and when I got the car waxed a thin white line would always get stuck in the crease. Do all the hood or none of the hood. My vert I did entire front, hood, lower rocker panels, headlights, frame around windshield and mirrors. Was about right. Although you can't really tell its even on the car so I might have done the entire vehicle if I had to do it over again.
