Anyone using K&N Engine air filters in their LC? Any noticeable differences/improvements over OEM Filters?

 

I don't believe K&N makes air filters for our LCs.

 

Yeah I was looking on the site and nothing came up. I used them in my ‘13 LS460 F Sport. I wonder why they don’t make them for the LC?

 

I use the Tom's filters, not sure since I never used the original.

 

Are the Tom’s reusable like the K&N filters?

 

In a word, NO.

 

So what are the recommendations on mileage changes or just when dirty?

 

When dirty - Mileage varies due to conditions. Dusty/dirty conditions will clog the filter more rapidly. The Lexus recommended replacement interval is 30K miles.

Not using K&N but I thought the schedule stated 10K mi unless u run her in a high dust area.

 

You're referring to the cabin air filter. What we're speaking of are the pair of engine air filters under the hood.

 

Thanks DR you are keeping me in line today! Pretty soon you folks are going to kick me off this forum for miss information guy! LOL

 

K&N does not make a filter for the LC 500. I sent them a message offering to send them an original filter for size, so they could start to make them, but no reply. I guess they are not interested due to the low production numbers for the LC 500. I searched but could not find a reusable high airflow engine filter anywhere on the internet.

 

For engine filters our best seller is the Toms one.
