I have a Street Guardian SG9663DC which has a front and rear camera with low power mode. I chose the fuse box underneath the driver side dash for power.
I used the gas tank door fuse for battery for low power mode (always on) and the cigarette lighter fuse for the ACC power.
I used fuse taps to wire in the dash camera.
I ran the wires from the fuse box to the camera up along the weather strip along the door. The first piece to navigate around was a trim piece on top of the door sill. The top of this trim piece can be lifted toward you slightly to tuck the wires behind it and then up along the weather strip. The yellow line is where i hid the wire.
Next I ran the wire along the weather strip up to the top of the door. The top of the trim along the side of the dash can be pulled out slightly to give you a little more room to fit the cable in.
Once I got to the top of the doorway across from the corner of the windshield i ran the cable underneath the trip towards the windshield. It's important to run the cable behind the air bag, not in front of it for obvious reasons.
Running the cable underneath the air bag can be tedious as the area is small, so you can pop the trim out to have more room to work with. To pop the trim back in you have to pay attention to a curved, bendable piece of plastic with an arrow shaped tip, you'll have to pull it towards you before the trim will pop back in. I didn't get a picture of it but circled the area it is behind trim. If you popped this trim out, you may not want to put it back in yet if you have to wire a rear dash camera in because you'll be going back out the same way you came in with the power wire.
The wires were then run underneath the head liner to where the camera is placed in front of the rear view mirror.
Next I ran the cable that connects the front camera to the rear camera, following the power wire i previously ran. This runs underneath the headliner to the corner of the windshield and then underneath the air bag to the weather strip along the door. Once at the door, I ran this to the rear of the door and underneath a seam between the interior door pillar and the headliner.I suggest using a plastic ctool so you don't leave scratches.
The wire for the rear camera then follows the trim all the way back to the rear window.
Finished product with the rear camera attached. If you have spare cable you can hide it underneath the rear head liner. It is held in by 2 clips in the middle of the rear head liner which will give you enough room to bend it down slightly and tuck cable underneath.
Next I removed two screws from the plastic piece underneath the dash to give me some room to hide the power wires underneath the dash. When putting this back in you need to align a few tabs (indicated by arrows) further down behind the dash before you screw it back in.
Finished product with the wires tucked in underneath the plastic cover.
With this wiring route, all trim pieces still maintain their original shape, no gaps or spaces.
