Yeah that makes sense. For me, a 5 month delay puts a 5 month depreciation on the vehicle regardless of when taking delivery.

More so, I can be fickle... and i'd probably just give up on getting one if it had a long wait and invest the money instead.

Buying one of these is never "logical"

Question for the Canadian buyers, what is your dealership typically asking as a down payment on ordering the LC??

At today’s rate of depreciation on these vehicles you’re not going to lose much in 5 months….LoL

Oh. That's good to know. I might get a 2021 then! I saw that a lot of the 2018's are at like 75k but that's for the coupe... I haven't seen any convertibles (used for sale) which makes me think that more people were leasing the coupe and more people are buying the vert.

The LC500 coupe came out in 2018 model year. The convertible came out in 2021 model year.
The Used market for convertible is starting to come in but obviously not anywhere near as much as the 3 year old coupe.
I saw a certified 2018 listed at my Lexus local dealer. It didn’t even last 48hrs. I was quite shock to see it go so quick. But it was quite a deal at 78K for 15K miles certified LC500. Atomic Silver with red interior.

verts are outselling coupes at 3-4:1

makes my coupe more 'exclusive' lol

OH! For some reason I thought the convertible came out earlier than that. That makes a whole lot of sense.

I've seen a few L/Certified coupes, but usually the seats are pretty beat. I'm 6'1 200 lbs pretty skinny guy and my daily ES300h with 2 kids and a gf and 5 years of ownership have less seat wear than some of these.

I might be being too picky, but 50-60k off msrp is certainly a pretty awesome deal nonetheless .

Maybe we have a disconnect in currency somewhere but it’s not a 50-60K off MSRP. A maxed out coupe with performance package is around 108k. 2018 with certified and <20K miles are going for 78-80K USD here.
I’m eagerly waiting for the 2022 bespoke build to come online in the US. I have a 2020 GSF now but if I can get exactly what I want on the LC bespoke build, I’ll trade it in.
In the past, I haven’t been able to build a Lexus with my local dealers.

yeah that was my thought. When talking with my GF. I was like "If we're getting a coupe we're buying used. No reason to pay msrp when so many people have eaten the big chunk of depreciation."

I have the same mindset as you. It's also why I'm kinda thirsty for that flare yellow paint lmao.

Initially I was going to get a tesla, but I realized its just a boring car and in seattle there is a non stop stream of them on the road.

The LC vert though... I have yet to see one out on the street.

Again, I'll repeat one of my previous posts, this 'Bespoke Build' seems to be more of a buzz-word or gimmick more than a real change or something new.

I'll quote myself - "This seems to be really nothing new at all with the exception of some slightly different options available and color choices. A buyer has been able to configure his/her LC and order as he/she wishes (with approval from the Lexus 'mothership') since day one of the LC's production. This is the way I purchased my 2018 LC."

I configured my build sheet with my dealer (Lexus of Albuquerque) in late January 2018, Lexus approved the build sheet and my 'bespoke' LC500 was delivered to me on May25, 2018.

I agree. I think its signs that likely there will be less preconfigured 2022's... Then those that really want something else can order directly.

Perhaps this is the last year for the car?

Lots of rumors that the v8 is going away.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. Considering the LC was released May 2017 (as a 2018 model) without any real changes since, except for the addition of the convertible, it certainly feels like the end of it's production run is nearing. Time will tell . . . . . . .

Okay, we will see when the configurator comes online.

Last month I saw one red IR Convertible 2021 with 1 thousand miles something for sale for 102K at Tacoma's website dealer, and it been there for weeks. You are in WA , you may seen that car for sale already. 102K is the price of the coupe and you have convertible, I think it very good deal. But I am so surprise the car was there for weeks before sold.
