Excessive temperature for either the oil or the coolant is an issue (possibly catastrophic) for the engine. You should investigate, or, as it sounds, you should have a qualified person investigate the root cause if excessive temperatures of either fluid if observed. They can have drastically different reasons.
Dr G,

I meant most cars only report a coolant temp and traditionally I've gauged that as a concern for overheating. When you tracked the car, you observed higher oil temps. Not sure if you noted any changes to coolant temps. After several hard pulls it should be expected for the oil temp to rise but if the coolant is normal range then I should be ok? The only reason I ask because my RCF reads out both. But the oil temp was always the last to heat and never went over middle. Thanks.

Interested to hear your comparison of the handling, driveability of the LC vs your previous Lexus.

Maybe the Gauges & Instrument cluster readouts for a start . . . . . Section 2 - pages 68 through 94 . . . . it's an easy read and very informative. You can skip over the LC500h sections.
