Badging is for dummies.
It’s the first thing I tear off in addition to removing all of the under-hood plastic panels.
Go tell someone: “OMG! Thank you so much!!!”

Last time I pulled my badging off a Lexus, I had retaining holes in the sheet metal. So now I am not so quick to do that operation.
Just sayin.

The LC500 badge on the rear is affixed with a 3M type adhesive tape. Easy to remove with a little heat and some fishing line. Once removed there is no trace of the badging.

i've never understood removing the badges... i remember a lot of bmw/mercedes owners would do it so they could try to make people think their 316i was an m3 or something.

Me, neither. I want people to know what I’m driving, especially something as special as the LC. I want them going to the web to punch it up and learn more about it. Dealership label or tag frame - off they go. But subtle badges - they stay.

Coming from that world, debadging was more about symmetry since MB/BMW badge on one side of the rear rather than center. The fakers would solve this by filling in the otherwise with an AMG or ///M badge.

This is my 6th Lexus from them and they have treated me well so far. Dealer said they would put it on if I wanted it and I told them I like it the way it is, now fix my damn seat.
This sounds like a viable explanation.

A sanity-check I'd do if I were you: visually confirm that the rear bumper has its factory VIN sticker. The LC500 badge is attached to the bumper, and if the bumper was replaced for any reason the VIN sticker would be missing. I'd want to make sure that they didn't sneak a replacement bumper onto the car.

If you have a good relationship with the dealer their explanation is most likely true, but I'd want to be sure. Beautiful car, just ordered mine! Can't wait!

If you are going to debadge why not take the Lexus badge off too? Or take it off and put a Aston Martin or Bugatti one on? Never understood taking a badge off a car. Its like a removing the polo guy off your shirt.

I am trying to figure out what the definition is of the words " cleaner Look"? There are many that are liking this option of removing the LC 500, I guess its the words cleaner look that I dont understand. Someone help me. I buy things because I like everything about what I buy.
Old school I guess.

just no mumbo jumbo of alphanumeric soup..it’s actually not too bad on LC ie LC500 lettering but coming from 911 it was an issue from factory (911 carerra 4S) and replaced all other details and kept Porsche only.
