Default Factory extended warranty

Was advised that my factory warranty on my vehicle is expiring and for two more years, it was offered at 3k from local dealership
Anyone has any experience with purchasing extended warranty or any feedback will be appreciated.

$3K to $4K is about right for the LC500 for an extended 'full coverage' warranty. - BUT - I don't recommend getting extended warranties on the LC. The reliability is very high for this vehicle when properly maintained. I prefer to self insure. I'm betting that I will spend less than $3-$4,000on warranty related issues in the next 2-3 years.

So, you spent an extra $4K to impress her??

How did that work out for you? I bet she thought you were extra suave, handsome and NOT a sucker for falling for that!!!

absolutely not, it wasnt precisely that much, and it was a well thought out instantaneously rational decision we both reached, together
while enjoying the fine leather and caviar color of the car, and she was so incredibly beautiful,
and knew how to close a sale, and we both came away just fine...

Could also depend on how many miles one puts on their car per year.

One convertible top problem would be a pretty penny.

Most of the extended warranties have mileage caps as well so a high mileage user still could have issues not covered by the warranty. I bet the 'typical' LC owner puts less than 10K mile / year on their vehicle. (might be interesting to start a thread on odometer readings??).

'convertible top problems' . . . . . another one of the many reasons I prefer coupes.

Default Lexus extended warranty

Just got a faculty warranty from Lexus thru this web site. It worked great. The local dealerships wanted 3K to 4K. I paid $1875 for another 48 months and 75K miles. It is a Toyota dealership and wrote it on Lexus paper. I received the warranty from Lexus in 5 days.

(moderator: link removed)...
sabre38 - the link wasn't secure and a secure (https) version of the link doesn't work. not convinced this is legit. sorry.
