The 911 is also harder to get in and out of for an old guy like me. The 911 would be easier to park in the garage though. The clincher for me was the first time I saw the LC. I saw one pulling out of a parking lot and had to chase it to see what kind of car it was. Not only is the LC rare but in my opinion it is the best looking car I have ever seen and I have owned a lot of cars. We are very excited to pick it up next week.

How do you know the owner of the dealership isn't "loaning it" out to his son to take his prom date to the mountains for the weekend?

There's this thing called an odometer.

Yes Sir! We wanted you to be happy with your car and to make sure there were no bugs or surprises, I had an experienced driver take the car out and carefully drive it for 200 miles to make sure everything was perfect. We won't even charge you anything for the service. No need to thank us. We want your new car to bring you pleasure for a long time.

I'm sure people in theory are cross shopping the LC with the 911. The 911 has really jumped up in price and I'm not even sure they are truly comparable anymore.

have you ever heard of or experienced a dealer doing this?

plus the lexus app lets you define 'guest driver settings' including how fast it can be driven, what times/days it can be driven, total distance and time it can be driven, what area it's limited to.

agreed the 911 is to costly in many ways and you would be in for a long wait if you order one. Adelaide55 did you finally get my pm?

Have you tried using the 'guest driver settings' in the APP? If you do you will notice that all the settings are not actually limits (how fast, total distance, what area, what times), but what the App actually does is send you a notification only when those limits are exceeded. The 'guest driver' can still drive as far and as fast as he wishes, but you will know on your phone once the dirty deed has been done.

As someone mentioned, not worried as I have the odometer reading. I also trust my dealer so this was never a concern.

good info thanks. Haven't had any need to use that feature of the app, but even notification should be sufficient to provide 'evidence' for ronkelley's scenario.

Finally picked up car today after ppf. Only was able to drive 50 miles or so, but here are my initial thoughts: definitely a GT. My GSF had a lot more cornering bite and felt slightly quicker, but the minus was it always felt like a puppy on a leash, or if in normal mode a Camry. In the LC I'm happy to just cruise along. Top up, the car is super comfortable and quiet. Blind spots arent as bad as I thought, but you definitely use the BSM. Highway noise was higher than expected with windows up and top down, but not a problem. One annoying quirk: does anyone feel like the HUD is too far to the right of the driver sightline? Have a longer road trip in the coming weeks which I'm super looking forward to.

Cheers

HUD display placement can be adjusted in the settings.

Thanks, although I think it adjust up and down, but not side to side (the left right toggle is for brightness)?

You can't move the HUD left/right. You can rotate it some though.
