Lexus has confirmed officially that it has a twin-turbo V-8 in development, but now we have reported specs: a 4.0-liter twin-turbo mill making up to 660 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. That's a huge figure that puts the LC500 close to Hellcat territory, but it's even wilder to think that—according to the rumor—that engine could end up in the docile LS as well.
If they put this ^^^ motor in the LC convertible, I'll be the first in line. If it's only in the coupe, probably not.
I normally buy my Lexus' lightly used and heavily depreciated, but the cheapest used LC coupes right now have a lot more miles (50-70K) than I'd be interested in paying $60K for. Which makes the value proposition of buying new a bit better.
