haha, too funny how most of the ladies don't like noise or even handling.

My wife likes a car that handles well
When I used to wind out the S2000 she would ask why is there so much engine noise
She is not a fan of the low seating position in the NSX, but that car is really pretty quiet as along as I don’t stomp the gas pedal

imo, the car is engineered to operate optimally in sport + and the other modes simply detune one aspect or another of its performance....as flowrider's chart illustrates...

^^^^I disagree, but it's GREAT that we have differing opinions. However, in Sport or Sport+ mode, 9th and 10th gear of our 10 speed transmission are locked out. That's a downer for me. Also, IMO, Sport+ is just too aggressive for me. Sport is fine, but as posted, no 9th or 10th overdrive gears and the suspension is set to normal. Therefore, as I voted, I drive in Custom Mode - Normal for engine performance and Sport for the suspension. Works for me

Lou

any disagreement is likely over simple terminology. we both agree and appreciate what a remarkable piece of equipment we
have ended up with; i am impressed how the AI in this buggy reflects my mood: when i'm aggressive and get on it, the car responds
and keeps the revs up and gears low; and when i'm more mellow, the car picks up on this, and kicks back. i'm not sure how
the AI and computer programming does this, but the car seems to pick up on how i feel and responds...

maybe you meant 9th and 10th gears not used in sport+?

Big V8s are most efficient at wide throttle openings and low RPMs, so I appreciate the eco mode which upshifts quickly and efficiently. Nice linear and predictable throttle response. If you need to make a quick pass it still downshifts immediately. For twisty mountain roads I'll have it in Sport+ and shift manually.

I only ever drive it in Sport S+ mode. I wish S+ used 9th and 10th gear, but I like steering weight and throttle response in Sport S+. Can't stand any other modes.

Same. You have to switch to M mode and use paddles to avail of 9th and 10th in S/s+, which is annoying to remember to have to shift manually if you find yourself needing to pass quickly once in a while but otherwise works well enough.

I fixed the throttle response with a throttle controller so I usually am in comfort on long highway stretches where minimal passing is required, but I do wish the car would allow the steering response setting to be customized independent of everything else.

Which throttle controller are you using? Can it go above Sport S+ mode also?
