Default Bump Guard ?

well, just wanted to alert my fellow enthusiasts
that a major electrical depot named a "Bump Guard" has failed in my 2019 beloved,
with the concomitant message alerts appearing incessantly to "take car to dealer"
"reduced engine power" and "secondary braking system unavailable" in the display.
i imagine its something major electrical as the
the car is still drivable, and has plenty power, but runs like ****. the dealer has the
part on order....whew ..... a complicated machine wherein everything effects
everything else ! oh well, my patience needs the work

i doubt it's major, probably just a sensor.

thanks for your encouragement. an "electrical depot" is a term i grabbed on the fly to describe what i imagine to be a major switch/junction/sensor interface,
due to the torrent of display messages advising low engine power, no secondary braking, and traction control turned off.
the car still has plenty power but doesnt downshift smoothly at all; its clunky - however if i use the paddle to downshift,
its alright....none of the warnings are in red and none advise me not to drive, but i'm not driving it much untill the part comes in....

Hopefully your car is still under warranty. Wonder how much that would cost if you had to pay for it.

I know what you mean, I just received my car for few days, then put her into PPF/Ceramic coat Thursday, won't get her back till Wednesday next week. It's killing me already!

Good luck. Hope you get her back all fixed up soon.

well fortunately now finally we've have the bump guard replaced under warranty, so all is good...except for the critter who chewed thru a couple
a wires...! not unusual here in the tropics......i've taken necessary precautions so i'm confident we'll not have a recurrence of this horrible deed...whew.
