Smile After owning seven Mercedes Benzes.............

...in a row, I began to see pre-owned LC500's becoming very affordable and started appreciating it's strikingly unique and aggressive looks. I went ahead and purchased the most amazing all around sports / luxury coupe I could possible get for the money (a Lexus Certified 2018 LC500 off lease with only 3,400 miles). The car was so lightly used and in obvious mint condition, it still had the blue protective film on the dead pedal and in other places throughout the cabin. After owning it just two weeks now, I still can't believe how amazing the car is and the attention it gets (especially in Infrared). I took it out for my first road trip and I had a two hour drive to show some beach homes to a client. I set the cruise at 70 and put the car in Eco mode to see what kind of mileage I could get in this beast and was shocked to see 32 mpg over the two hours. Simply incredible! Although that was nice to see, the car is back in SportS+ mode and that's where it will stay so I can hear that glorious engine and exhaust note. I have NEVER owned a car in which the radio is off most of the time while driving. The music the LC makes on it's own is so damned intoxicating. And those downshifts in manual mode..........I could go on and on!!

I look forward to communicating with all of you to share thoughts and various tips on making our LC's even more special than they already are! (You guys were a huge help even before I actually purchased the vehicle.)

Congratulations on the great deal, and enjoy it in the best of health.

I never owned a V8 before, crazy to be able to cruise at 80 with the engine only turning 1800 rpm

The car is so comfy for distance driving.

Welcome to the club. I'm sure you'll be VERY happy with your decision to purchase - AND - you got the absolute best color combo!!

As Lou mentions, I'm not in the least upset with the infotainment system that marvelous V8 supplies. My infotainment is one of my least used systems.

Drive it like you stole it!! (haha)

Congratulations. I test drove one and was quite impressed all the way around. The chassis felt solid and planted like old time Mercedes S Class and the ride/handling balance was perfect like BMWs of old. I really enjoyed the sound of the V8 and thought the 10 speed transmission paired well with it. This will be my next car in around 10 years after my current GS 350 F Sport which is awesome. I really enjoy the evolution of Lexus which now gives the best balance of luxury and sport in their vehicles.

Congratulations on the new LC. I know what you mean about the attention the infrared gets. It's a little much some days. When I took delivery I didn't have it on the driveway ten minutes and two people stopped. One knew what it was the other wanted to know what the hell it was. 😂 Wait till you pull in to the service bay at the dealership. I'm an introvert and that was tough. All eyes will be on you. Then again if you're into that sort of thing, throw it in sport plus and give it a courtesy rev in the service bay as you park lol. Once more, congrats and enjoy that infrared, it's amazing, imo.

Congrats! Red is beautiful. I too like the red but couldn't wait much longer to own one. Looking back, I should have waited another 3 weeks. Oh well.
I too was shocked with the MPG for a V8 in normal mode. I did 800 miles one-way on highway with cruise control ON and the car got around 32-33mpg.

Do you miss the comfort enhancements you get on the Benzes but not on the LC?

I got mine with 3300 miles and it was like it was never driven. Glad you found such a great example.
